Students in an exam

GIANT Food Stores donated $10,000 through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program to Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley (CISLV).  This donation will support the Integrated Student Support programs that  CISLV provides to the over 22,000 students they serve in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Whitehall/Coplay and Reading School Districts.

Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley appreciates the generous donations of EITC funds from corporations, like GIANT Food Stores, who participate in the EITC program.  Communities In Schools Lehigh Valley is designated as an Educational Improvement Organization by the Department of Community and Economic Development.

In the current economy, the tax credit program has provided funding to support and sustain Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley services for students throughout the region.  As an approved Educational Improvement Organization we are significantly impacted by the tax credit dollars designated to Lehigh Valley and Berks Corporations.

Our organization has been serving the students of the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years, implementing Integrated Student Supports in schools, supporting alternative education, coordinating out-of-school time programming, and preparing students for college and careers.  During school year 2015-16, Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley served more than 15,000 students in the Allentown, Bethlehem Area, Easton, Reading and Whitehall Coplay school districts! Your tax dollars will help with this.

Thank you to GIANT Food Stores for their generous donation!
