This year’s special guest will be Bill Milliken, Founder and Vice Chairman of Communities In Schools
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Fogelsville.

The Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley annual Success Awards and Recognition Dinner celebrates the achievements of the many students who have benefited from the CIS programs and recognizes community leaders who empower these students to stay in school and succeed in life! Awards include the Champion of Education Award, John Reinhart, Superintendent, Easton Area School District, Milliken Service Award, John F. (Jack) Gross, partner at Gross McGinley and Outstanding Community Partner Award, Caron Treatment Center.
This year we are excited to welcome Bill Milliken, Founder and Vice Chairman of Communities In Schools and one of the most successful and respected youth advocates in the U.S. Bill Milliken is the author of three books, “So Long Sweet Jesus”, “Tough Love” and “The Last Dropout:Stop the Epidemic”. Bill will be presenting the first annual Bill Milliken Service Award at this year’s event.
In addition to the awards, guests will have the opportunity to view and bid on artwork created by Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley students. The student artwork was a highlight of last year’s event! Sponsors will have the opportunity to host Communities In Schools students and their parents at their tables. The program will be emceed by two CIS graduating senior students.
Communities In Schools is the nation’s largest and most effective dropout prevention organization. All funds raised will support Communities In Schools of the Lehigh Valley programs.
